Soccer: Perry vs Pinnacle

The Perry Pumas walk to the stands after their loss in the DI state championship girls soccer game between Perry Pumas and Pinnacle Pioneers at Campo Verde High School on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.

Finding the back of the net comes easier for some than others, and that is clear by looking at the state leaders on MaxPreps.

Not all schools use the website or have up-to-date stats but it is still a good tool to find out just exactly who has that uncanny ability to dribble past the defense and slip the ball past the goalie or dish off to someone else.

Instead acknowledging individual players in a team sport, why not write about all the top teams in the East Valley: Corona, Hamilton, Campo Verde, Desert Vista, etc.
