The Coyotes will have a new broadcast partner this season. With the WB and UPN merging to form a new network, the Coyotes have opted out of the remaining two years on their contract with WB affiliate KASW-TV (Ch. 61).

The team has signed a multiyear deal with KAZ-TV (Ch. 27) to broadcast between 20 and 25 games a season.

Most of the remaining Coyotes games will be shown on Fox Sports Net Arizona. The television schedule comes out in August.

In other news, according to the NHLPA Web site, Coyotes re-signed goalie Philippe Sauve. Terms weren't available.

SUNS

The Phoenix Suns displayed their fast-break offense en route to a 96-81 win over the Los Angeles Clippers in the finale of the Vegas Summer League. Britton Johnsen had 21 points on 9-for-9 shooting for the Suns, who ended league play with a 3-2 record.

LACROSSE

The Arizona Sting lost two players in Friday's National Lacrosse League expansion draft. New York selected forward Pat Maddalena and forward Mike McLellan.
