The second-ranked Arizona State baseball team ended their regular season with a 6-5 victory over UCLA on Sunday. The win pushes their season record to 44-12 overall and 21-6 in Pac-10 action.

ASU picked to host NCAA baseball regional

Carlos Ramirez was the star offensively, with three RBIs on four hits, including the eventual game-winner in the eighth inning. Pitcher MItchell Lambson picked up the win out of the bullpen, giving up two runs on six hits over five innings of work.

After solo homer in the first by Ramirez, UCLA charged back to take a 3-1 lead at the end of the third inning. Ramirez would come through with another run in the fifth as ASU plated three runs to retake the lead. UCLA tied the score in the sixth, but the Devils struck again in their half of the inning. ASU's Jason Kipnis would score in the eighth on an RBI single by Ramirez for an insurance run.

The Devils now will move on to the NCAA Tournament for the 10th year in a row. They will open up at home as they host the Tempe Regional on Friday. The entire 64-team lineup will be announced 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
