Valle Luna, meaning “Moon Valley,” all began in the mid-1970s when Tia Rita journeyed to New York to share her best Arizona-Sonoran recipes where she earned recognition for her award-winning Mexican food. She returned to the Valley of the Sun in 1983 and founded a family business that still stands today.

Tia Rita has since passed away, but the restaurant honors her memory with some of her original recipes. Customers can find a special menu with all of Rita’s favorite dishes, including the street-side Mexican tacos with tender pork carnitas and Pepe’s border tacos with carne asada and chorizo.
