Gov. Jan Brewer
Gov. Jan Brewer reacts Saturday to the shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer still plans to make her State of the State address Monday, but will revise what she'll say because of the fatal shootings in Tucson.

Brewer spokesman Paul Senseman says the governor still plans to deliver the annual address to the Legislature to maintain what he called "our state's finest traditions." But he says Brewer would delete some material and include new material because of the shootings.

Brewer earlier said she was "heartbroken" by the shootings of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and others in Tucson and that the whole state is saddened.

Brewer was at the Capitol on Saturday working with aides to prepare for her State of the State address to the Legislature when they received word of the shootings.
