ASU softball beats Stony Brook in NCAA regional

Good enough for one day, but not up to elite standards. It’s only taken three seasons for the Arizona State softball team to go from also-rans to College World Series contenders, which the Sun Devils feel they are. So a 2-0 victory against Stony Brook in Friday’s opening round of the NCAA regional at Farrington Stadium didn’t lead to mass hoopla.
