Williams Field topped Skyline at home by a score of 6-3. Quackenbush gave a gritty performance on the mound, taking the complete game victory while adding a pivotal triple of his own at the plate. Williams Field swung the sticks well, but struggled at times late in the game to push the runs across leaving runners in scoring position. Skyline showed early promising drawing first blood with 2 runs in the 1st through a solid approach and getting the ball in play. Throughout the scattering of 13 hits, Williams Field's Junior Noah Jimenez provided the timely hitting pushing across the RBI's in the 2nd and 3rd inning to get the lead. Fagg's 3rd inning solo shot gave the Black Hawks a 2 run lead, but Skyline left bases loaded in the 4th, failing to capitalize on a major opportunity. Quackenbush's long time battery mate Kobar, called a gem of a game behind the plate leading to Quackenbush's 11 K's, while the defense took care of the rest. Skyline's freshman pitcher Vanderkooi looks to have a bright future for the young Coyotes, while Amado looks to solidify the middle of their lineup. Williams Field looks to take their 10th straight win from Campo Verde on the road this Thursday, while Skyline travels to Mesa this Friday.
