Keep your eye on these East Valley football players who could be playing next year at major college programs.

Cody Anderson

School: Apache Junction

Position: TE/DE

Height, weight: 6-5, 265

Notes: The football and basketball star has committed to play tight end at Arizona. Coach says: "He’s a great athlete. I think colleges really like it when kids play more than one sport. You can’t coach speed or athleticism, and if a kid does more than one sport, they like to see that." — Max Ragsdale

Stefan Demos

School: Horizon

Position: K/P

Height, weight: 5-9, 185

Notes: The soccer standout has committed to kick and punt at Northwestern. Coach says: "He is absolutely a great athlete. He is a kid who does it all. He plays scout team running back in practice. He’s all over." — Steve Casey

Mitchel Hunt

School: Corona del Sol

Position: DT

Height, weight: 6-3, 260

Notes: The lineman has missed both his team’s games with a leg injury but has committed to play at Oregon State. Coach says: "He has a lot of potential but we don’t know what he’ll bring to the table (as a senior) yet. He just has a motor that doesn’t stop. Too bad we haven’t been able to see it yet." — Gary Venturo

Keaton Kristick

School: St. Mary’s

Position: LB/FB

Height, weight: 6-3, 225

Notes: The future middle linebacker has offers from Northwestern, Oregon State and UTEP, among others. Coach says: "He likes the defensive side of the ball, as an interior linebacker (as opposed to as a fullback). At 6-3 and 225, he runs and hits pretty well." — Pat Farrell

Matt Mosley

School: Corona del Sol

Position: WR/KR

Height, weight: 5-10, 175

Notes: The future defensive back has offers from ASU, Washington and Oregon State, among others. Coach says: "He hasn’t really jumped out yet, but he’s just about there. He has a lot of talent and potential, we’re just waiting for him to use all of it." — Gary Venturo

Kyle Williams

School: Chaparral

Position: RB/KR/ PR

Height, weight: 5-10, 180

Notes: The allaround athlete and son of White Sox general manager Ken Williams is just starting to get noticed after missing his junior season with an elbow injury. Coach says: "He’s talking right now about playing college football (as opposed to baseball), and he’s got people looking now. — Ron Estabrook

Marcus Richmond

School: Dobson

Position: RB

Height, weight: 6-2, 205

Notes: The balanced runner has committed to play running back at Washington State. Coach says: "We really struggled against Basha (in Week 1) and he came back the next week and ran harder than ever. He just stays so positive and does all the little things right . . . He’ll run you over and he has the speed." — Tom DeMassa
