Alexa Jimenez had 14 kills and 8 blocks as host Apache Junction beat Poston Butte 18-25, 25-11, 24-26, 25-11, 15-10 in girls volleyball action on Tuesday night. Erin Herbert added eight kills and two blocks for the Prospectors.
Abby Hornacek and Mia Teilborg had 11 kills apiece to lead Xavier past Chaparral. Bianca Arellano added 23 assists for the Gators (3-0).

Nick St. Clair shot a 1-under par to lead Higley (141) past Tempe (206) and Central (228). Dallas Rosenberger shot a three over par 34 and Johnny Clement shot a 37 as the Knights had the top three finishers.
