Athlete of the year: Devon Allen, Brophy
Coach of the year: Dan Kuiper, Valley Christian: The Trojans didn’t have one individual state champion and were in a bigger, deeper division than during their past championship runs, so this year’s title was a sweep surprise for Kuiper. Three seniors came out for the team for the first time and Kuiper found the right events to put them in to score points. The title was Kuiper’s eighth boys title and the 10th in school history.
