Outlook: The Falcons have locked up the second seed from the West Region and already know they will host Safford next week in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.
This game is one in which the Falcons will be careful, resting any starters who might be banged up and using their reserves as soon as they can. A loss won’t hurt their playoff position, but a win will be a much better stepping stone into the postseason.
However, Estrella Foothills has managed to hang around in all but one game this season. The Wolves’ 48-0 loss to Wickenburg was the lone blowout. The six other losses have been by an average of four points.
The Wolves have thrown for 1,114 total yards and rushed for 1,427.
