Fountain Hills shut out Tucson Empire in a 3A South Region game at Empire. Robert Rossfeld had two touchdowns for the Falcons (4-5, 4-2), one a 5-yard run and the other a 4-yard pass from Jason Fairfield.
Rossfeld’s 4-yard touchdown catch gave Fountain Hills a commanding 24-0 lead over Empire (2-7, 1-5) heading into the fourth quarter.
The defense also came up big for Fountain Hills, coming away with five turnovers Three of those resulted in touchdowns, including Jim Hubick’s 24-yard interception return for the final score of the game.
