Outlook: There were a lot of firsts last year for Scottsdale Christian, one of which was a win over Metro Region rival Phoenix Christian.
The Eagles’ shutout of the Cougars was perhaps the biggest win in the school’s history in 2A. But that was last year and this Cougars team is hungry for revenge.
Scottsdale Christian took its lumps from 3A heavyweight Wickenburg last week, losing 54-6, but that should prepare it for the kind of running game it will see from Phoenix Christian. Senior Rocky Gingg has 320 yards in two games this season and four touchdowns.
