Outlook: The Dust Devils enter this game coming off their biggest win of the season, 32-27 over Florence.

Santa Cruz had two players over 100 yards rushing, including quarterback Chaz Hampton (134 yards) and tailback Patrick Cann (129).

“They’ve got some good athletes, and (Hampton) is a special kid,” Seton coach Pete Wahlheim said. “He’s tough to tackle and has some good players around him.”

Seton is also coming off a huge victory over Safford and Wahlheim said he is not expecting a letdown against Santa Cruz.

“This group has come out to play every week, regardless of whether we have a good week of practice or not,” Wahlheim said.

Wahlheim said he lost one starter to injury during last week’s win over Safford. Left offensive tackle Michael McDonnell suffered a torn MCL and will likely miss the rest of the regular season. Wahlheim said McDonnell may be back for the playoffs.
