Address: 2902 E. Shea Blvd., Phoenix; Records: Paradise Valley 4-4, 1-2; Shadow Mountain 1-7, 1-2; Gametime: 7:00 p.m.
Outlook:
A 4-4 mark is a far cry from where Paradise Valley was a year ago at this point, riding a nine games into a 10-0 regular season and No. 1 seed in the 5A state playoffs. But Trojan coach Donnie Yantis will take where he’s at right now, at .500 and firmly entrenched in the 5A-II playoffs.
Class 5A-II opponent beware: The Trojans currently sit sixth, with its four losses to teams posting a combined record of 21-2.
Michael Williams still provides the speed in the backfield for the Trojans, but fullback Tomarcus Jordan had his best game of the season against Desert Mountain last week, rushing for 152 yards on 19 carries. An early season hip flexor slowed Jordan early on.
