Will Clemens led Maricopa over visiting Santa Cruz 30-22 in a 3A South game. Clemens threw for two touchdowns and ran for one in the victory.

With the game tied at 22 in the third quarter, Clemens scored on a 5-yard quarterback-keeper. The touchdown proved to be the game-winner.

Pat Cann led Santa Cruz with three rushing touchdowns in the loss.
