Garrett Lever scored 16 points and Michael Proctor added 15 Saturday as host Phoenix Desert Vista beat Tempe Corona del Sol 57-49.

Ty Abbott added 14 points for the Thunder (29-1), who trailed 22-21 at halftime.

“We came out sluggish to start the game.” Desert Vista coach Doug Harris said. “But we pushed away the distractions and refocused in the second half.”

Devlin Leland led the Aztecs (19-11) with 13 points, and Brad Carroll added 12.

Desert Vista advances to play Phoenix St. Mary’s at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Jobing. com Arena.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 72, LAVEEN CESAR CHAVEZ 43: Harper Kamp scored 23 points as the Toros cruised by Laveen Cesar Chavez at home in the quarterfinals.

Kendall Wallace added 18 and Brendon Lavender scored 16 for the Toros, who will face Phoenix Trevor Browne on Thursday at Jobing.com Arena.

DESERT MOUNTAIN 54, PHOENIX SHADOW MOUNTAIN 51: Kelly Bardet sank 5 of 6 free throws in overtime as the Wolves held off the Matadors at home to advance to the semifinals.

Bardet scored a game-high 22 points and was aided by Kyle Smith, who had 14 points for the Wolves.

Desert Mountain will face Centennial on Monday at Jobing.com Arena.

OTHER GAMES: Peoria Centennial beat Tucson Flowing Wells 60-51, and Phoenix North beat Glendale Sandra Day O’Connor 95-89.
