Queen Creek returns nine offensive starters, including running back Eric Jones (21).
Mountain View was 4-6 last year in coach Chad DeGrenier’s first season at the school. The Toros starting quarterback Chase Funk was just a sophomore last season and if DeGrenier's past results are any indication, Funk and the Toros could have a big season in DeGrenier’s second year.
Red Mountain quarterback Mason Thorman returns for his senior season, along with leading receiver Aeron Carr as the Lions believe this is their best team in Ron Wisniewski's three years as coach.

Folks, if you want to see the real deal this year, keep an eye on Tony Tabor's Desert Mountain High School Wolves. At least ten D-1 caliber players. Allen to Andrews for another TD. Bigger, stronger, faster running backs. Defense likes to HIT: Duran, Tallman, Sneed, Mariani, Frasco. HUGE OLINE: Scheetz, Chiarello, John, Martin all weigh in at 290 lbs+. Big Ed's NY DIVISION 1 2012 prediction: Final four of Brophy, Desert Mountain, Hamilton and Desert Vista. Champion depends on "luck of the draw"...ANY ONE OF THESE TEAMS COULD WIN THE D1 CHAMPIONSHIP!

Come on Ed. DM looked so slow at PV last week, it is hard to see them winning more than 5. Good Luck with that prediction though. I know some of the players and wish them the best.
