Outlook: Skyline has split its first two games (Sandra Day O’Connor and San Luis). The Coyotes were much improved last week in gaining their first win of the season.
Progression this week will be harder to come by against perhaps Tucson’s best team this season. Salpointe has allowed just one TD in two games so Skyline’s option offense has its work cut out for it.
Salpointe is led by quarterback Max Fritz, who has passed for 395 yards and four TDs. Fritz has rushed for 73 yards.
Skyline settled in with Jonathan Bailey at quarterback last week and shifted Ted Kook to running back. Kook rushed for 76 yards and caught five passes for 103 yards. Bailey passed for 175.
Address: 1545 E. Copper St., Tucson
