Outlook: Hamilton knows quarterback Brad Gruner can stand the pounding of Friday nights after he accounted for 263 yards and two touchdowns in the Huskies’ opener two weeks ago.

What they’d like to establish is the running game, which was sluggish at best in the opener. Running backs Justin Sims and Covaughn Deboskie were bottled up the first time out. Speaking of pounding, P.V. running back Mike Williams took one in the season-opening loss against Peoria last week. He’s had a couple extra days to rest aching knees. The Trojans will need both facets of their offense to have a chance for an upset.

Address: 3950 E. Bell Road, Phoenix

Records: Hamilton 1-0; Paradise Valley 0-1

Last year’s meeting: Hamilton 41, Paradise Valley 0
