Outlook: After beating Raymond Kellis 55-6 last week, you would think Cactus Shadows coach Chad DeGrenier would be satisfied. Far from it.

“We need to work on finishing each play,” DeGrenier said, “on both sides of the ball.”

With strong-armed Phillip Aholt at quarterback and DeGrenier calling the plays, it is no secret the Falcons can throw the ball. But DeGrenier was pleased they rushed for 182 yards last week. That is something he hopes to continue tonight against Willow Canyon, which is playing only its second season of varsity ball.

“They’re big and they have some good athletes,” DeGrenier said of Willow Canyon. “We have to play better.”

Address: 17901 West Lundberg St., Surprise

Records: Cactus Shadows 1-0; Willow Canyon 0-0

Last year result: Cactus Shadows 47, Willow Canyon 0
