Outlook: After watching film, Notre Dame coach Scot Bemis is more than a little worried about Washington’s ability to score.

“They are very explosive,” Bemis said. “They can score anytime from everywhere.”

While Notre Dame has a few weapons of its own, Bemis doesn’t want this game to turn into a shootout. Thus, the Saints will try to control the clock and hold onto the ball.

“Defense is the key to this game,” Bemis said.

This is a tell-tale game for the Saints. A victory should put them one win away from securing their first-ever playoff berth. A loss will make achieving that a bit difficult.
