Scottsdale Christian overpowers Tombstone

Scottsdale Christian (3-1) used a strong running game to defeat Tombstone, 34-6, in a 2A nonregion game Friday at Tombstone (2-3).

Junior Eagles quarterback Jacob Stoorer led the stampede with 220 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.

Stoorer’s touchdowns came on runs of 29, 54 and 34 yards.

Senior running back Ryan Tully had his second-straight 100-plus yard rushing game, finishing with 105 yards.

The Eagles finished with a total of 387 yards on the ground.

Scottsdale Christian only needed to throw the ball six times, completing one pass for 19 yards.
