A collection of the top individual performances from Week 6 in the East Valley:
Clark Brown, Mountain View: The junior wideout ran back two punts for touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass and had a 50-yard kickoff return which set up the eventual game-winning score in an upset of previously undefeated Pinnacle.
James Contes, Corona del Sol: The senior running back set a school-record by rushing for 306 yards in a blowout win over Cibola and scored four touchdowns.
Matt Guida, Queen Creek: The Bulldogs running back continued his impressive junior season rushing the ball 11 times for 242 yards in a 50-0 win over Catalina Foothills.
J.J. Husar, Desert Ridge: Husar led a dominating Jaguars rushing attack with 19 carries for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Red Mountain.
Zach Wolf, Valley Christian: The Trojans linebacker returned a fumble 59 yards for a touchdown and returned an interception 68 yards for a score.
Ryan Finley, Paradise Valley: The quarterback was 15 of 25 for 304 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Phoenix Washington.
Zach Werlinger, Basha: The junior quarterback completed 21-of-27 passes for 485 yards and six touchdowns in three quarters of work in a rout of Gilbert.
Ronnie Querry, Basha: The main recipient of Zach Werlinger’s passes, Querry has eight catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
Emanuel Gant, Tempe: The sophomore signal-caller threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Apache Junction.
Juan Giraldo, Mesquite: The Wildcats picked up their first win behind Giraldo, who picked off two passes and added a rushing touchdown.
Jordan Brown, Paradise Valley: The wide receiver was again Ryan Finley's favorite target with 160 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a win over Phoenix Washington.
Mark Andrews, Desert Mountain: The star junior had seven catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns to help the Wolves stay undefeated
Sean Paul Brophy, Chaparral: The sophomore quarterback was 9-of-13 for 134 yards with a touchdown in the second half as the Firebirds scored 18 points in the final five minutes to beat Notre Dame, 30-27.
Marche Dennard, Brophy: The senior running back had 28 carries for 265 yards and three touchdowns in Brophy’s come-from-behind win over Mountain Pointe.
Jarek Hilgers, Desert Vista: The Thunder running back carried the ball 22 times for 269 yards and four touchdowns.
