Marcos de Niza’s Kylee Kieser won the Division II state race in 18:53 to claim the individual crown.
Boys cross country
Brophy’s Will Firth finished in second place with a time of 15:54 in the Division I state race on Saturday.
Boys swim and dive
Matthew Mozdzen of Chandler won the 100-meter butterfly despite entering Saturday’s finals with the second best time.
Girls swim and dive
Gilbert’s Kelli Benjamin won the 50- and 100-meter freestyle in the Division I state meet on Saturday. Both were All-America times.
Girls volleyball
Hamilton setter Jordyn Moody had 51 assists as the Huskies rallied past Basha on Thursday night to advance to the state semifinals.
