Tyler Erwin and Sean Rackoski combined to throw a no-hitter as Hamilton defeated Casa Grande Vista Grande, 11-0, on the road in a non-division game Friday.
Erwin pitched five innings and struck out five batters to earn the win for the Huskies. Rackoski pitched the final two innings and struck out three.
Trent Goodrich, Tyler Hill and Jared Lansburg each collected two hits for Hamilton. Goodrich hit a triple and Lansburg had two doubles. Hill knocked in two runs.
In other baseball action Friday, Desert Vista used a three-run third inning to edge visiting Marcos de Niza, 3-2, in a Division I, Section III game.
Austin Hicks had a home run and 2 RBI for the Thunder, while Tyler Adams and Zach Steigerwald each added two hits.
Tyler Kelly threw four innings to earn the win. Adams pitched the sixth and seventh innings to earn the save.
Gilbert defeated visiting Skyline, 5-3, in a Division I, Section II game. Taylor Spacey threw a complete game and struck out 6 batters to get the win.
Josh Moore went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run.
Corona del Sol defeated visiting Chandler, 7-3, in a Division I, Section II game.
Kyle Jorgensen did it all for the Aztecs, going 3-for-3 with a double, home run and 3 RBI.
Jorgensen also struck out six batters, gave up only three hits and walked one in five innings of work to get the win for Corona.
