Olivia Kuby scored a schoolrecord five goals as visiting Tempe Prep beat Goodyear Estrella Foothills 9-3 in a 1A-3A North Region girls soccer game on Saturday night.

Kuby scored four goals in the first half as the Knights (6-1,0-1) took a 5-1 lead into halftime.

“Normally when someone scores four goals in one half you are killing the competition, and I would take that player out, but we kept her in to start the second half and then they (Estrella Foothills) got a goal early in the half and midway through we were only up 6-3, so we kept her in for the whole game,” Tempe Prep coach Peter Bezanson said. Casey Grant scored two goals for the Wolves (6-1, 0-1) and Jennifer Vasquez added one.
