A power outage forced the suspension of the Phoenix St. Mary’s game at Phoenix Trevor Browne with 1:42 left in the first quarter Friday.
The game, 0-0, is scheduled to resume at 10 a.m. today at Trevor Browne.
The referees waited for more than two hours before finally calling the game at 9:35 p.m.
“Pick your poison,” St. Mary’s coach Pat Farrell said. “Either a long night tonight or a terribly long night tomorrow.”
He said that the coaches will also have to put in their normal Saturday schedule of preparing for their next opponent, Westwood, in what was already a short week. The Knights and Warriors play on Thursday.
The suspended game resumes with the Knights facing a second-and-10 play on the Bruins’ 19.
St. Mary’s dodged a bullet when Trevor Browne was driving on its first possession but fumbled at the 2, with Keithel Jenkins recovering for the Knights.
