Outlook: Heading into the season, you probably wouldn’t have figured this would be a game between two unbeatens.

Notre Dame has looked much more experienced than a second-year varsity program in winning its first three games. Defensively, the Saints have been solid. Last week, they limited Coronado to 12 points. What has really started to shine is the Saints’ offense. The combination of quarterback Sean Renfree to Mike Greco may be one of the best around. Last week, Greco caught 10 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns.

Coach Jim Beall’s Higley Knights get it done the old-fashioned way. The Knights play tough defense and control the clock by running the ball.

The winner here just may find itself in the 4A-II playoffs at season’s end.

Address: 4068 E. Pecos Road, Gilbert

Records: Notre Dame 3-0; Higley 2-0

Last year’s meeting: Notre Dame 23, Higley 16
