Address: 1200 W. White Mountain Road, Lakeside; Records: Seton 7-2, Blue Ridge 8-1; Gametime: 7:00 p.m.

Outlook:

If both teams come out and play well, this game will easily be the best of all the first-round matchups. The Sentinels have shown the ability to dominate people, but they’ve also struggled on the road, going 2-2. To combat that, Seton changed its travel plans, opting to travel on Thursday and avoid the long bus ride on game day.

“Any time you play a quality team with a quality staff, you have to be excited,” Seton coach Pete Wahlheim said.

Seton’s disciplined defense will be tested by the Yellow Jackets’ offense. Running back Frank Parkinson has run for 876 yards and 17 touchdowns and any time Blue Ridge needs a big play, they turn to him. But Blue Ridge has three other runners with more than 450 yards, so Seton will need to keep everyone in check.

Offensively, Seton can hurt teams running or throwing. Quarterback Pat Miller has thrown for 1,000 yards and running back Nick Samuels has also passed that plateau this season.
