Scottsdale Christian's boys basketball team moved on to the championship game of the Horizon Invitational with a 62-31 win over Phoenix Shadow Mountain on Friday at Horizon High School in Scottsdale. Hayden Johnson had a monster game for the Eagles with 22 points, six rebounds, four steals, five blocks and seven assists. John Irvine added 15 points for Scottsdale Christian.

GIRLS SOCCER

Shannon Lippincott scored the game-winning goal in double overtime as host Dobson beat Perry 1-0 in a 5A nonregion game. ...

Jordan Gay and Devin Garcia each scored two goals as host Basha beat Westwood 6-0 in a 5A-I nonregion game. The Bears scored four goals in the first half and had no problem closing out the Warriors in the second half. ...

Highland cruised past Barry Goldwater 13-0 in a 5A nonregion game. Ashley Hatch and Karisa Price each scored three goals for the Hawks.

BOYS SOCCER

Visiting Basha beat Westwood 2-1 in penalty kicks in a 5A-I nonregion game. Matt Gonzales scored the first goal for Basha on an assist from Brandon Foutz in the 77th minute, tying the score at 1-1. The game moved to penalty kicks, where the Bears outscored the Warriors 5-3.
