Taylor Waters hit a game-winning, three-run home run in the fifth inning to lift Basha to a 5-4 win over host Perry in a Division I, Section II baseball game Thursday.
Waters’ home run broke a 2-2 tie.
Ronnie Querry and Zack Torriente each hit solo home runs for the Bears.
Austin Casillas pitched 6-2/3 innings to earn the win. Zack Torriente got the final out to earn the save.

In other baseball action, Desert Ridge shut out visiting Red Mountain 10-0.

Valley Christian defeated Gilbert Christian 20-1 in five innings.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Gilbert and Highland went five sets with Tigers coming away with the win over the visiting Hawks; 17-25, 27-25, 26-28, 25-23, 15-10.
Ryan Morrison had 23 kills for Highland. Bryce Farbe added 14 kills and Collin Ward had 49 assists.
Mountain Pointe earned a road win over Corona del Sol in four sets; 20-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.
