Updated boys basketball rankings as of Monday, Dec. 17:

Division I

1. Cesar Chavez 11-0

2. Mesa 10-1

3. Desert Mountain 9-2

4. Corona del Sol 9-1

5. Gilbert 9-2

6. Brophy 11-1

7. Chaparral 7-3

8. Millennium 9-1

9. Dobson 8-3

10. Pinnacle 5-2

Cesar Chavez is the lone undefeated team and stays atop the rankings, but Mesa beat Dobson last week and is ready to move to No. 1 with any slip-up. Desert Mountain moves into the top-3 after an undefeated week, followed by Corona del Sol. Gilbert drops a pair of spots after an overtime loss to Highland, followed by a Brophy team which has won six in a row. Chaparral jumps into the rankings with an impressive win over Pinnacle last week, and Millennium also joins with a strong start. Preseason contenders Dobson and Pinnacle are off to slow starts and drop to the bottom of the top 10. Red Mountain and Hamilton lost this week to drop out.

Division II

1. Shadow Mountain 16-1

2. Nogales 10-1

3. Sierra Linda 13-1

4. Paradise Valley 8-2

5. Saguaro 9-3

6. Catalina Foothills 10-1

7. Poston Butte 10-2

8. Sahuaro 10-3

9. Salpointe 10-3

10. Greenway 7-2

Everyone in the top eight went undefeated last week, so there are no changes there. Salpointe has won four in a row to move up a spot to No. 9, while Greenway re-joins the rankings after a 2-0 week. Thunderbird dropped out after a loss to Moon Valley.

Division III

1. Gilbert Christian 10-0

2. Florence 13-0

3. Scottsdale Christian 3-1

4. Valley Christian 3-4

5. Window Rock 7-2

Gilbert Christian stays at No. 1, while an undefeated Florence team moves up a spot. Scottsdale Christian is back in the rankings at No. 3, while Valley Christian stays steady at No. 4 as it attempts to get back to .500 after a brutal early schedule. Window Rock jumps in at No. 5, while Thatcher and Combs drop out.

Division IV

1. Duncan 8-1

2. Desert Christian 12-1

3. Joy Christian 15-2

4. Yuma Catholic 11-1

5. Valley Lutheran 7-3

Duncan remains on top, while Desert Christian and Joy Christian flip spots. Yuma Catholic remains at No. 4 after an undefeated week, while Valley Lutheran joins the top-five after a win over Arizona Lutheran, which drops out.
