Defending champs are among those entered this Saturday (September 28th) for the 41st annual Doug Conley Cross Country Invitational at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Tempe.
Xavier is the defending champion on the girls, while Desert Vista (second in 2012) remains close by on the Gators' heels.
Small-school powerhouse Rio Rico will defend its boys title, but it will have company from the bigger schools, namely Corona del Sol, which has won all three invitationals its competed in this season, including last week's Ojo Rojo Invitational.
So far, 18 schools are signed up for the girls' race and 17 for the boys' race.
Girls teams: Basha, Corona del Sol, Desert Vista, Flowing Wells, Ganado, Hamilton, Highland, Hopi, Ironwood Ridge, Page, Perry, Red Mountain, Rio Rico, Skyline, Tempe, Tuba City and Xavier.
Boys teams: Brophy, Cactus Shadows, Corona del Sol, Deer Valley, Hamilton, Highland, Holbrook, Hopi, Mesquite, Page, Perry, Red Mountain, Rincon, Rio Rico, Saguaro, Tuba City and Vista Grande.
