A collection of the best individual performances from Week 4 in the East Valley:

Darell Garretson, Chandler: Chandler scored touchdowns on its first six second-half possessions, led by Garretson, who was 30-of-41 for 383 yards with two touchdowns and added a rushing score.

Byron Bourgogne, Higley: The Apache Junction offense has switched to a pass-happy unit, and Bourgogne took advantage of all the dropbacks by registering six sacks in the contest.

Drew Burgesser, Williams Field: Burgesser led the Black Hawks defense way with a school-record six sacks, allowing the offense to help rally the team to victory over Canyon del Oro.

Matt Guida, Queen Creek: Guida carried the ball 13 times for 261 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs over Cactus Shadows. He had three big runs on the evening, a 94-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and runs of 70 and 56 yards.

Nate Phillips, Basha: Phillips did everything but find the end zone on Friday with eight receptions for 154 yards.

Austin Carver, Gilbert: In a back-and-forth affair against Mesquite, Carver put the Tigers ahead to stay with a game-winning 20-yard field goal with six seconds remaining.

Payton Haslam, Mesquite: Although the Wildcats fell to 0-4 with the loss to Gilbert, the passing game was a plus. Haslam, only a junior, threw for 353 yards and five touchdowns.

Drake Pierre, Red Mountain: The breakout season continues as Pierre caught five passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over Mesa.

Matt Haggerty, Seton Catholic: The wide receiver had seven catches for 114 yards and three interceptions as the Sentinels bounced back with a rout of San Tan Foothills after losing to Tempe Prep last week.

Francisco Avitia, Skyline: Avitia had 21 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the 25-0 victory over Dobson.

John Clark, Mountain View: Clark was 21-of-29 for 305 yards passing with five touchdowns in a rout of Mountain Ridge.

Clark Brown, Mountain View: Brown was Clark’s favorite target, catching nine passes for 203 yards and three scores.

Garette Craig, Mountain Pointe: Craig ran for 161 yards and three scores and returned a kickoff 88 yards for a TD.

Charlie Quinn, Horizon: Quinn continued his impressive early-season play with 29 carries for 209 yards and four touchdowns in Friday’s win over Deer Valley.

Daniel Fedorka and Steven Campbell, Desert Mountain: Chaparral wide receiver Tyler Whiley caught a slant and made his move for the end zone, but these two combined to stop him on the 1-yard line on fourth down with 2.1 seconds remaining as Desert Mountain held on for the 28-21 victory.
