Visiting Apache Junction defeated Tempe 48-7 thanks to a dominant rushing performance. The Prospectors (7-3) rushed for 297 yards on 29 carries.
Sophomore Shane McCullen led the charge for the Prospectors, rushing 27 times for 242 yards and two touchdowns.
The second of his touchdowns was a 91-yard scamper on Apache Junction's first offensive play in the second half.
Senior Brandon Ford led the Buffaloes (1-9) with 99 rushing yards on senior night, while Michael Waddle scored the lone touchdown on a 4-yard plunge.
