Outlook: McClintock kept feeding the beast (Mack Martin) and it paid off late for the Chargers in holding off Pinnacle last week.
The win wasn’t pretty (three turnovers), but it was much needed after being shut out by Saguaro two weeks ago. Martin should have another big night against Thunderbird, which hasn’t stopped the run all season. Chaparral looms, so the always unpopular “looking-ahead” factor also looms.
Thunderbird’s only win came against Prescott in Week 2. Darryn Cancel (640 yards rushing) and Chris Womack (600 yards passing) lead the offense, but Thunderbird is allowing a shade more than 30 points per game.
