Outlook: Yes, Desert Mountain could be 2-0 by the time you pick up Saturday’s Tribune.

Carl Hayden continues to struggle. The Falcons are on their third coach in four years and haven’t won a game since 2003. Desert Mountain is coming off a shutout of Maryvale.

Jason Kramer caught two touchdown passes last week to account for the Wolves’ scoring, and the Wolves held Maryvale to 30 yards passing and forced two turnovers.

“If you put (a shutout) on Vegas odds that would have been 200-to-1,” Wolves coach Tony Tabor said.

Address: 3333 W. Roosevelt, Phoenix

Records: Desert Mountain 1-0; Carl Hayden 0-1

Last year’s meeting: Desert Mountain 56, Carl Hayden 3
