A collection of top East Valley performances from Week 10:

 

Kyle Allen, Desert Mountain: The junior quarterback was 14 of 16 for 234 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Sandra Day O’Connor.

Mark Andrews, Desert Mountain: The junior wide receiver Mark Andrews had seven catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Sandra Day O’Connor.

Weston Birtcher, Mountain View: The senior running back ran for 165 yards and scored three touchdowns in a win over Mesa.

Anthony Brittain, Tempe Prep: He blocked what would have been the game-tying extra point attempt as the Knights upset No. 1 Northwest Christian. He also threw a halfback pass to set up the Knights’ first TD.

Jalen Brown, Mountain Pointe: The junior wide receiver/defensive back Jalen Brown had eight catches for 154 yards and four touchdowns and had a 65-yard interception return for a score. He set a new single-season school record for receptions.

Tyler Bruggman, Brophy: The senior quarterback threw for 366 yards and a school-record six touchdowns in a blowout victory over Pinnacle, including 172 of those yards and three TDs to Clarence Clark.

Frankie Felix, Hamilton: The senior running back had 74 yards rushing and two touchdowns, plus another 84 yards receiving and another TD in a win over Corona del Sol.

Ryan Finley, Paradise Valley: The senior quarterback threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns, hitting teammate Jordan Brown nine times for 125 yards as Paradise Valley won to earn a playoff berth.

Aaron Green, Desert Vista: The linebacker had two sacks, a blocked punt for a safety and had a tackle for loss in a 23-6 win over Chandler.

Matt Guida, Queen Creek: One of the state’s top rushers, Guida ran for 196 yards and a touchdown in Queen Creek’s blowout victory over Williams Field.

Levi Hartzler, Tempe Prep: The senior scored two touchdowns and had a fumble recovery and a sack in the win over NW Christian.

Connor Helvig, Gilbert: The senior quarterback threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns, plus another TD run in Gilbert’s comeback victory over Dobson.

Horizon defense: The Huskies had six sacks and forced three interceptions, including one returned 70 yards for a touchdown by Ryan Neel, in the win over Notre Dame.

Sammy Jones, McClintock: The senior running back rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Perry.

Bryce Kinsler, Cactus Shadows: The senior quarterback became Arizona’s all-time career passing leader Friday during Cactus Shadows’ 50-17 win over Shadow Mountain. Kinsler needed 74 yards to set the record and wound up with 245 (unofficially) to give him 8,688 yards for his career to surpass former Show Low QB Rathen Ricedorff.

Grant Martinez, Notre Dame: The senior tight end had 114 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Horizon.

Austin Nightingale and Taleon Parson, Perry: The backfield duo combined for six touchdowns in the Pumas’ win over McClintock.

Nathaniel Rodriguez, Desert Ridge: The starting safety-turned RB had nine carries for 172 yards while filling in for the injured JJ Husar in the Jaguars’ win over Boulder Creek.

Ahmari Underwood, Tempe Prep: His 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown gave Tempe Prep a 21-7 lead in a win over NW Christian.

Mythias Young, Higley: The senior quarterback/running back had 181 yards rushing in a loss to Arcadia.
