Phoenix Maryvale dominated its 5A matchup with visiting Desert Mountain for a 50-6 win Friday night.
While Maryvale built a 35-0 halftime lead, Desert Mountain had three first downs, two lost fumbles and 42 yards of total offense.
Even with Maryvale’s 80 first-half penalty yards, the Wolves could not cross midfield.
In the fourth quarter, Kyle Klein recovered a fumbled punt at Maryvale’s 23 to set up the Wolves’ lone score, a 3-yard pass from Cory Campbell to Jason Kramer.
