Gabe Freeman scored 21 points as No. 2 McClintock defeated Phoenix Thunderbird 56-39 in a boys 4A Skyline Region matchup Tuesday at McClintock.
McClintock scored early and often to take a 27-13 lead at the end of the first half.
In the second half, the Chargers snuffed out any attempt to rally by the Chiefs.
Jermaine Calvin added 20 points for the Chargers (19-3, 9-1). Sean Morris scored 13 points for the Chiefs (7-2 in region).
MOUNTAIN VIEW 60, TUCSON CANYON DEL ORO 43: Eric Bossom scored 12 points to lead the No. 2 Toros over the host Dorados in a 5A non-region matchup. Kevin Smith added nine points for Mountain View (19-1, 6-1). Casey Credelone led Canyon del Oro with 18 points.
PHOENIX BROPHY 60, DESERT MOUNTAIN 48: Michael Strittmatter had a game-high 17 points as the visiting Broncos (17-3, 7-1) downed the Wolves (10-9, 3-4) in 5A Desert Valley Region play. Chad Goldstein led Desert Mountain with 16 points.
HAMILTON 62, CHANDLER 59: The Huskies (11-9, 4-1) defeated the host Wolves (10-9, 1-4) in a 5A Fiesta Region matchup despite 31 points and 13 rebounds from Chandler’s Lawrence Westbrook.
HIGHLAND 86, CASA GRANDE 42: The Hawks (19-1, 5-0) beat the visiting Cougars (5-11, 0-5) in a 5A Fiesta Region game. Derek Bailey scored 15 for the Highland and teammate Derek McCurdy scored 20.
CORONADO 66, APACHE JUNCTION 55: Tareq Ramirez scored 31 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the host Prospectors (15-6, 7-3) as they defeated the Dons (5-5) in a 4A East Sky Region matchup. Pariss Greene scored 14 and Brandon Outcalt 12 for Coronado. Steve Elman scored 19 for Apache Junction.
GILBERT 37, MESQUITE 26: Mike Neilson’s 12 points led the visiting Tigers (12-9, 3-2) to a win over the Wildcats (4-16, 2-3) in a 5A Fiesta Region matchup. Teammate Jordan Curry contributed with 11 points.

Brian Hickman led all scorers with 20 points as the visiting Wolves defeated the Bulldogs (7-15, 2-9) in a 3A South Region game. Chase Thompson had 12 points for Queen Creek.
FOUNTAIN HILLS 76, COOLIDGE 59: Martin Ort had 24 points as the visiting Falcons (19-7, 11-1) defeated the Bears (14-9, 7-5) in a 3A South Region matchup. David Goldberg added 15 points for Fountain Hills.
DESERT RIDGE 74, ARCADIA 67: Halisi Tambuzi scored 19 points to lead the visiting Jaguars (12-13, 4-6) over the Titans (7-16, 1-8) in a 4A East Sky Region game. Arcadia’s Nate Brodman scored 27 points.
WESTWOOD 72, SKYLINE 62: James Cooper had a game-high 26 points to lead the host Warriors (9-10, 4-4) over the Coyotes (6-15, 0-8) in a 5A East Valley Region matchup. Jesse West added 19 points for Westwood, while Corey Brown had 19 points for Skyline.

SETON 64, HIGLEY 53: Jordan Wolf scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the host Sentinels (19-3, 11-1) past the Knights (13-8, 6-6) in a 3A South Region contest. Matt Tibbetts added 15 points for Seton, and Jeff Clark led Higley with 10 points.
CHAPARRAL 83, TEMPE 45 Andrew Washko scored 21 points for the visiting Firebirds (15-7, 7-2) as they defeated 4A East Sky Region rival Buffaloes (8-16, 1-9). Ike Davis scored 13 for Chaparral.
