Quarterback Jason Fairfield passed for 112 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a score as host Fountain Hills downed winless Parker 41-22 in a 3A West Region game on Friday.

Fairfield completed 8 of 11 passes and junior Jim Hubick caught two passes for 57 yards for Fountain Hills (3-1, 2-1 region), including a 34-yarder from Fairfield on the game’s opening series.

Hubick also recovered a fumble by Parker (0-3, 0-1) at the Broncs’ 34 and the Falcons scored two plays later on a 10-yard run by Rob Rossfield for a 20-6 halftime lead.

“Our defense stepped it up after the fumble recovery,” Hubick said. “We were expecting the run and did what we had to do to stop it.”
