Katie Blomberg and Eleanore Beatty each netted three goals for Seton Catholic in its 12-1 rout of Fountain Hills Wednesday night in a 3A South Region soccer matchup.

Shannon Desmond and Jessica Lopez added two goals each.

GIRLS SOCCER

Higley dominated as it blanked Buckeye, 6-0, in 4A nonregion action.

Danica Webb had four goals and an assist to lead the Knights (5-1). Teammate Carissa LaFevers had two goals and two assists.

Kristi Andreassen scored four goals to lead Marcos de Niza past host Central, 8-1. Lisa Andreassen added two goals for the Padres (5-3).

Angie Grode scored two goals and assisted on Candice Bott’s game-winning goal as Basha downed Mesa, 3-2, in 5A nonregion action.

Katie Pena and Ashley Jiminez each had an assist for Basha (3-3)….

Dobson blanked host North, 4-0, in a 5A nonregion matchup.

Andrea Clark, Trinity Houk, Shannon Souders, and Shawntae Greene all scored for the Mustangs (4-2).

BOYS SOCCER

Tempe remained unbeaten with its 2-0 victory over host Flagstaff Coconino. Giovani Ocampo earned his sixth shutout of the season for Tempe (7-0-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Mountain View defeated Weston Ranch (Calif.) 75-44 in an exhibition game in the Maldanado Classic in Reno, Nev.

Harper Kamp led the Toros with 20 points, with Ammon Nielsen adding 12. Mountain View (7-0) starts tournament action today against Orem (Utah).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Basha defeated visiting Desert Ridge 57-16. Kayla Peralta had 12 points to lead the Bears (6-1).
