Outlook: A week off after a nontitle game visit to Sun Devil Stadium allows Red Mountain to refocus and pick up a victory in its second start.
The Mountain Lions should have an easier time getting their offense rolling this week. Ironwood, one of the top teams in 5A-II, put up 38 points on Deer Valley.
The Skyhawks had little success on the ground last week, rushing for just 57 yards. They threw for 231 yards with quarterback Tyler Hosler completing 18 of 42 with three picks and one TD. Red Mountain put decent pressure on Hamilton’s passing game two weeks ago so it should be able to handle whatever Deer Valley throws its way.
