Address: 945 W. 8th St., Mesa; Records: Skyline 3-4, 0-2 East Valley; Westwood 7-0, 2-0; Gametime: 7:00 p.m.
Outlook:
Both schools face the tough task of being emotionally charged this week. Skyline was seven seconds from knocking off Dobson last week, which would have been Skyline’s fourth win and likely put it in the 5A-II playoffs. Now the Coyotes may need another win, a tall order against the Warriors. Skyline visits Red Mountain next week and finishes at home against Mesa.
No. 2 Westwood has given up few if any big plays on defense. Coyotes running back Troy Lewis will try to change that. Lewis rushed for 215 yards last week, a career high. But the Warriors have given up the fewest points in the region while playing the toughest schedule in the region.
