1. Xavier 4-0

2. Hamilton 5-0

3. Gilbert 3-1

4. Desert Vista 2-2

5. Basha 3-1

Notes: The Gators solidified their hold on the top spot bye rolling through the Westwood Tournament of Champions without dropping a game until the finals where they needed three games to get past Phoenix Sunnyslope. Hamilton fell to Xavier in the semifinals at the Westwood ToC and holds at No. 2. Gilbert went 6-1 at the Westwood tournament without star outside hitter Macey Gardner, still out with a hamstring injury, and remains solid at No. 3. The only switch in the rankings is Desert Vista moving in at No. 4 (Mountain View struggled at the Westwood tourney and drops out). The Thunder were 5-1 in the tournament, beating No. 5 Basha in the first round of the Gold Bracket.

1. Desert Mountain 3-1

2. Horizon 2-1

3. Ironwood Ridge 4-1

4. Centennial 4-0

5. Deer Valley 3-2

Notes: Desert Mountain jumps into the top spot thanks to a very solid showing at the Westwood tournament. The Wolves’ two losses in the tourney came to champion Xavier and runner-up Sunnyslope. One of their wins came against Horizon, which falls to No.2. Ironwood Ridge, Centennial and Deer Valley all had strong weekends and move into the top 5.

1. Sunnyslope 5-0

2. Queen Creek 6-0

3. Cactus Shadows 4-1

4. Prescott 4-1

5. Apache Junction 4-1

Notes: Sunnyslope really put some distance between itself and the rest of the conference with its run to the finals of the Westwood tournament. Queen Creek and Cactus Shadows also were there, with Queen Creek winning the Bronze Bracket and Cactus Shadows losing in the first round of the Silver Bracket. Prescott won the Notre Dame tournament and Apache Junction reached the finals at the Valley Vista White Tanks Tournament.

1. Seton Catholic 4-1

2. Amphitheater 3-0

3. Paradise Valley 5-0

4. Liberty 6-0

5. Arcadia 4-1

Notes: Seton struggled in the Westwood Tournament of Champions but still holds the top spot. Paradise Valley had a strong weekend at the Notre Dame Tournament to hold at No.3 and Arcadia moves into the rankings thanks to its run at the White Tanks tournament, where the Titans beat Thunderbird in the finals.

1. Monument Valley 5-0

2. Florence 4-0

3. Tuba City 5-0

4. Fountain Hills 5-2

5. Blue Ridge 5-1

Notes: Monument Valley won the Panther Invitational in Farmington,New Mexico, beating Piedra Vista, a team from the second-largest classification in New Mexico, in the finals. Florence won its own tournament without dropping a game. Tuba City and Blue Ridge move into the rankings after having perfect weeks.

1. Thatcher 5-0

2. Valley Christian 5-0

3. Horizon Honors 4-1

4. Tonopah Valley 5-1

5. Phoenix Country Day 3-2

Notes: Thatcher flexed its muscle at the Westwood Tournament, winning the Silver Bracket championship, beating 5A teams Desert Ridge, Mountain Pointe and Horizon on the way. Valley Christian didn’t fare as well, winning just two matches in the tournament. Horizon Honors moves into the top 5 with an outstanding performance at the Notre Dame Tournament, where the Eagles reached the championship match, losing to 4A-I No. 4 Prescott. Tonopah Valley moves up to No. 4 and Phoenix Country Day moves in at No. 5 after winning its own tournament, beating Scottsdale Christian in the finals.

3. Veritas Prep 3-2

4. Joseph City 4-1

5. Valley Lutheran 1-1

Notes: No change in the 1A rankings. Veritas Prep helped itself by winning four matches at the Notre Dame tournament, including wins over 5A teams St. Mary’s and Betty Fairfax.
