Weston Birtcher, Mountain View: He needed only 10 carries to reach 164 yards and two touchdowns in the Toros’ first win of the season.

Marche Dennard, Brophy: Despite the loss, the Broncos’ starting RB had 187 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Josh Eckley, Marcos de Niza: The junior quarterback threw for 142 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for 92 yards in an easy win against Maricopa.

Trey Grass, Gilbert Christian: In a rare night of big passing, Grass threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns, and ran for 100 yards and two more TDs to keep Gilbert Christian undefeated.

Trevor Lane, Hamilton: As part of a big defense/special teams night, Lane blocked two punts against Notre Dame, both of which were returned for touchdowns in Hamilton’s easy victory.

Tarek Morrison, Desert Ridge: The sophomore quarterback ran for 94 yards and three touchdowns and threw a 48-yard TD pass in the Jaguars’ win over Highland. Morrison has 502 yards rushing and eight touchdowns this season.

Matt Munsil, Scottsdale Prep: The wide receiver compiled 392 yards of total offense. He caught seven passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns in an easy win against Salt River. Munsil added 77 yards rushing and another score, and completed all three of his passes for 104 yards and two more touchdowns.

Mark Peters, San Tan Foothills: The senior linebacker had 14 tackles, including one for a loss and a sack in San Tan Foothills’s come-from-behind victory against Florence.

Drake Pierre, Red Mountain: The senior wide receiver caugh seven passes for 88  yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning catch on 4th-and-goal with 21 seconds left to beat Brophy. He also caught another pass on fourth down to keep that same winning drive alive.

Forrest Redlin, Tempe Prep: With the game in doubt, Redlin ran the clock out on Div. V-Tempe Prep’s victory against Div. IV Seton Catholic. Redlin finished with 123 yards and two TDs.

Sean Schweichler, Williams Field: The speedy senior ran for 184 yards and three second-half touchdowns, including the game-winning 42-yard run on fourth-and-2 with two minutes remaining.
