Chandler Prep's Travis Farschman hit his seventh three-point shot of the game with 15 seconds left in overtime and teammate Jack Hanson stole the ball seconds later to clinch a 62-59 victory over visiting Canyon State, Tuesday.

Behind the leadership of Farschman, who finished with a game-high 33 points, the Titans outscored the Rams 16-7 in the third quarter to erase a four-point halftime deficit and take a 44-39 lead into the fourth quarter.

After Canyon State's duo of Cortez Young and Travon Van Buren helped the Rams tie the score 53 all at the end of regulation, the two teams traded baskets until Farschman's outside shot and Hanson's steal put the game out of reach for good.

Daniel Egbo scored 10 points for Chandler Prep (6-2, 5-1), while teammate Chris Knight pulled down 14 rebounds.

Young and Van Buren finished with 18 points and 14 points, respectively, for the Rams.

Boys Soccer

Mesa 1, Dobson 0: Using an assist from Brian Perea, the Jackrabbits' Jose Barerra scored the lone goal of the game in the Diablo Classic.  Goalkeeper Matt Winkler had three point-blank saves to preserve the shut-out. Mesa (4-0) is 2-0 in the tournament and will take on Hamilton for the opportunity to advance to the semi-finals.

Skyline 1, Mountain View 0: Alex Parra scored the game's only goal in the 65th minute.

Campo Verde 8, Queen Creek 1

Girls Basketball

Seton Catholic 60, Saguaro 53: Four players scored in double figures for the Sentinels (Susan Spinner 18, Heather Heild 16, Julia Borcello 14, Ann Marie Holter 12), as Seton Catholic (6-2) used a third quarter surge to break a 26-26 tie. Borcello grabbed 13 rebounds and Holter had 13 assists for Seton. Casey Rarrick led Saguaro in scoring with 26 points.

Queen Creek 58, Campo Verde 57: Queen Creek’s Makaily Worthington hit a free throw with five seconds left to give the Bulldogs a one-point victory. Sarah Hefington added five points and 8 rebounds and Bella Ford had four points. The Lady Bulldogs trailed by 11 in the fourth quarter before scoring 29 points in the final period thanks to their tenacious defense.

Girls Soccer

Pinnacle 3, Catalina Foothills 2: Jorian Baucom scored twice for Pinnacle as the Pioneers erased a 2-1 halftime deficit in a matchup of top programs.

Horizon 1, Arcadia 0: The game was scoreless after 40 minutes, with spirited play from both squads. For most of the 2nd half, Arcadia kept possession in the offensive half, peppering the 18-yard box with shots, free kicks, and corners. Horizon kept the ball out of the net through defense, solid goalkeeping, and the help of the crossbar (twice). On a rare foray into the attacking half, the Huskies whipped in a cross from the left side that sophomore Sydnee Weber headed perfectly into the right side of the net. The 1-0 lead held up, despite a furious challenge from the Titans. The Huskies play Raymond S. Kellis on Thursday. Arcadia has a chance to make the finals at Horizon H.S. on Saturday, needing to beat Mountain Ridge and hope the bracket shakes out in its favor.

Tempe 0, Tempe Prep 0: Tempe Prep only had 13 players available but hung tough with the bigger, deeper Buffaloes all night. Despite long periods of midfield dominance by Tempe and stoic defense by TPA, neither side managed to create many scoring chances. There were notable performances from Rachel Matsumoto, Rosalie Simoneau and Felicity Macdonald, and Knights' defender Berkeley Clark had a big game as well. The return game will be at Benedict Park on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Scottsdale Prep 2, Saguaro 2:  SPA topped the bigger Saguaro squad with a 6-5 advantage in penalty kicks.
