Brandon Trowbridge and Clay Busch both ran for two touchdowns to give Desert Ridge its first win of the season with a 41-30 victory over host Phoenix Carl Hayden in a 5A non-region game Friday.
Trowbridge ran for scores of 66 and 65 yards and contributed on defense with two sacks. Busch gave the Jaguars (1-2) their first lead of the game with 49-yard scramble in the second quarter. He added a 10-yard run in the fourth.
Desert Ridge overcome a stellar effort by Carl Hayden (0-3) running back Juan Fuentes, who scored three touchdowns.
Brad Presher had four tackles for a loss and two sacks for Desert Ridge.
