Arizona has an opportunity to save mining history and to also SAVE millions of dollars while doing so. All they have to do is stop the misguided 5C Arizona Centennial Museum project that is completely displacing the top rated and historic Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum. complete details are available on Mineral Museum Madness at www.minmumad.blogspot.com and also featured on the Tucson Citizen.Feb 27, 2011
First, the Arizona Centennial Museum is not a "tight budget" project. It will cost taxpayers many millions of dollars. The public money is being funneled through the Arizona Historical Society.
Second, the 5C Arizona Centennial Museum plan is a replay of the failed Marley Center Museum fiasco a decade ago. Taxpayers have not yet finished paying for that.
